Consumer Protection for Project Owners

The CCA is committed to assisting consumers and contractors in establishing and maintaining good working relationships throughout the life cycle of the construction project.  This raises the standards of the Construction Industry and promotes professionalism.

The CCA requires uniform high standards of all its members.  Non-members do not have to adhere to these standards.  For your protection, it is essential that you require any contractor under consideration to provide the necessary information to assure you of their credibility before selecting them to handle the project. This web page is provided as a public service to assist you in that effort.

The CCA believes that the best clients are the clients who are informed on the way in which the Construction Industry operates.  To assist consumers who are planning to build an upcoming project, or have already started their project, we hope that you will find the below articles helpful in understanding the standard processes of the Construction Industry from the Project Owner’s point of view right from prequalifying contractors to bid on your project to dealing with the challenges of disputes.
